Any loose fibres should be trimmed level with the surface of the pile and should never be pulled if they are still attached as this can weaken the backing of the rug where they are secured. It is normal for tufts to protrude from the pile as the yarns settle and you may find some loose yarns on the rug surface or surrounding area. Any loose fibres can be carefully hoovered, we do have some further information on the best method to use at www.therugseller.co.uk/hoovering
