The Style of La La Land
Well, that was awkward! A mix-up at the Oscars meant that Best Picture Award was mistakenly given to La La Land before being prised from their hands and given to the rightful winners, Moonlight. However, the picture did pick up 6 Oscars, including Best Actress, Best Production Design and Best Director.
A simple plot and the resurgence of a forgotten genre has catapulted this musical movie to Oscar glory. So, can we take anything from this aspiring story?
Full of bold colours and vivacious style, La La Land contains whatever magic ingredient it is that gives you that nice warm glow. Our favourite feel good movie of the moment, it inspired us to explore further and find what we could take from the screen to make our everyday life feel La La Lovely.
